Step by Step Guide to Google AdSense

If you are looking to monetize your website, Google AdSense might be the right choice to consider. If you have a website and you want to earn money from it, then it’s worthwhile to know how to apply for Google AdSense.  After reading this article, you will be well-informed and ready to apply.

Part 1. Get your website set up

To get started, you’ll need a website that has information people want to read. It’s best if your website is already receiving traffic before applying for Google AdSense (though it isn’t a strict requirement). You’ll need a Google account and fill out an application on their site.

Part 2. Create content

Write and create professional content. Remember, try to demonstrate your knowledge in each piece of content you write. This is particularly important for writers who want to be seen as experts in their industry and build a career around creating content for their target audience. Also, remember that writing longer form (1,000+ words) pieces will be more valuable than shorter forms of content like tweets or Facebook posts because you’ll have more room to showcase your skills and expertise.

Part 3. Check out Google Adsense

Getting Started for a great rundown of what Google Adsense is and how it works. It should be noted that you need to have a website or app in order to apply for Google Adsense so if you haven’t started your own yet, now might be a good time!

Part 4. Fill out the application form

Sign up for a free account. On your profile page, click Edit in the top-right corner of your information block and select Add Site from its dropdown menu. Click Create New on that page. Fill out all required fields, which are Name (the name you want to be associated with your site), Description (the description you want to be associated with your site), Language (the language you want to display content in), URL (your website’s address) and Country/Region (your country or region). Click Save when finished. Select Submit a new site for review under My Sites on your profile page. Wait for approval from an editor. Once approved, you will receive an email confirming that it has been published live online.

Part 5. Add their code to your site

This is plain HTML code. Copy and paste it into your WordPress editor in Text view. Then click Update File and save your page as normal. Make sure you check for spelling errors! Make sure all links are working properly! If you don’t know how to do any of these things, ask someone who does or learn how to do them yourself. You need to make sure everything looks right before publishing.

Part 6. Where are you? How much are you making?

In which country are you living? How much is your salary in local currency? Is it easy to live with that amount of money in your country? What are some benefits or downsides of where you are right now? What do you plan on doing next and why? This can also include a section on future life plans.

Part 7. That’s it! Now sit back and relax!

Just look at your list of 50 professional and well-written topic ideas, it will give you plenty of things to write about for months! The best part about writing for blogs is that once you’ve got your post ready, all you have to do is simply submit it to blogs and wait.
