The top 10 offline android games

The following android games are the best of all time when it comes to offline play. These 10 games will keep you entertained from anywhere and everywhere, without having to rely on an internet connection in order to play them at all. If you’re going to be taking trips where you can’t connect to the internet very often or at all, these top 10 offline android games are exactly what you need. Let’s get started!

1) Asphalt 8: Airborne

Asphalt 8 is, in a word, amazing. The graphics are stunning and all of the cars feel different and unique. It is, without a doubt, one of my favorite offline android games on Google Play. My only gripe with Asphalt 8 is that it's far too easy to spend money on upgrades or cars you really don't need. However, if you can ignore that and focus on having fun with it, Asphalt 8: Airborne can be an immensely enjoyable offline android game.

2) Infinity Blade III

If you have an iPhone or iPad, then you’ve probably heard of Infinity Blade III. You may have even played it yourself. The game is incredibly popular in app stores and there’s a reason for that. It combines stunning graphics with a great combat system. If you enjoy fantasy adventure games, then Infinity Blade III should definitely be on your list of apps to download. Like many successful mobile games, there are in-app purchases available but they are not required at all to complete the game so newbies can play it without stress. One warning though: The story is more like a side-quest than anything else so don’t go into it expecting an epic narrative!

3) Real Racing 3

Real Racing 3 is without a doubt one of the most fun (and addicting) games on Android. It’s also one of its most expensive, as it carries a price tag of $7.99. That said, with jaw-dropping graphics and outstanding gameplay, I have no problem saying that it’s well worth its price tag—not to mention that it’s actually got some quality in-app purchases for those who don’t want to spend $8 at once. All in all, I can see Real Racing 3 is my go-to game for quite some time. Plus, with updates coming out at least once a month or so, there are plenty of new things in store for everyone.

4) Hitman GO

Hitman GO is a turn-based strategy game that’s part of Square Enix’s Hitman series. The story, set between Hitman: Blood Money and Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, follows Agent 47 in his struggle against rival assassin Arkadij Jegorov, who works for a rival agency and is also trying to kill him. It won positive reviews from critics and was nominated for Best Mobile Game at The Game Awards 2014.

5) Angry Birds 2

Angry Birds 2 is one of a handful of high-quality new games to hit Android in recent months. It’s not going to knock your socks off, but it’s fun and colorful. Many other top-tier titles are getting killed by paywalls, in-app purchases, or advertisements; Angry Birds 2 requires nothing more than an internet connection and maybe a couple megabytes on your device. There’s never any pressure to buy power-ups or upgrade anything.

6) Monument Valley 1&2

Monument Valley 1&2 are two story-based puzzle adventure games. The first game was released on March 4, 2014, and has since won awards for its beautiful visuals and has been downloaded over 3 million times. It is available for both iOS and Android devices. The second game in Monument Valley 2 was released on August 22, 2016. It offers many of Monument Valley’s signature puzzle gameplay elements but with a new storyline and a different ending from its predecessor.

7) Downwell

If you’re looking for a fast-paced and challenging game, Downwell is for you. This simple and entertaining game features pixelated graphics. The goal of Downwell is to go as deep into caves as possible without hitting obstacles or falling to your death. Along with being playable on smartphones, Downwell is also playable on Playstation Vita and Playstation 4.

8) Lara Croft Go

Tomb Raider Go is a unique puzzle game that is fun and challenging. Based on Square Enix’s Tomb Raider franchise, Lara Croft Go is developed by Square Enix Montreal in conjunction with Crystal Dynamics, Tomb Raider’s development studio. In Lara Croft Go, you play Lara Croft as she explores crypts, temples, and other treacherous areas in search of ancient artifacts.

9) NBA 2K16

For a long time, NBA 2K16 was my favorite Android game and still remains in my top 5. Being a huge basketball fan and having played every installment of the NBA 2K series to date, it is hard for me to resist picking up a title that promises to deliver tons of improvements over its previous versions. A revamped career mode that lets you upgrade your player with more control over what skills you want to buy with your VC (virtual currency) and from where are some improvements made over its predecessor.

10) Implosion - Never Lose Hope

Implosion is a 2D top-down shooter in which you have to shoot your way through to get out of a building after an unknown event has occurred. You will come across soldiers, scientists, and infected people who will try their best to kill you.
